Sea of Love- Rocky Mountain Bride

The Inspiration

This elopement inspiration is for the adventurous couple seeking a romantic elopement, infused with the wild and rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest as a metaphor for the uncertainty and unpredictability facing couples planning a wedding in the time of COVID. We were inspired by the off-the-beaten-track beauty of the Canadian Pacific Northwest, a less-traveled destination for elopement couples, the perfect place to say exchange their vows away from the busyness of the more traveled elopement destinations. We wanted to create something more daring than a typical seaside elopement, staying truer to the wilder waters and more remote shorelines that characterize the Canadian Pacific Northwest coast. Inspired by the contrast between the deep blues of the ocean and mountain vistas and the deep, rich palette of late summer blooms and textures of sun-bleached grasses, we imagined a romantically set table for two at the edge of the ocean, the bride and groom bathed in warm summer sunshine, feeling the slow surge of the cool water at their feet as the tide drifts in and leaving the current chaos and uncertainty of the new COVID reality far, far away. No changing guidelines and restrictions on gatherings, no sanitation necessary, just the two of them, the wild blue ocean and a lifetime of brand new possibilities.
